Sports Team have shared their new single The Races.
Debuted as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World on BBC Radio 1, the track was recorded at Livingston Studios in London with producer Burke Reid. “Oli came in one morning with the opening bass idea and we’d finished the song in a morning,” recalls Alex Rice. “It was unusually easy. It’s a lot of fun to play.”
The track is out as Sports Team prepare to continue their UK tour in Southampton tomorrow night. “The songs are written to be a spectacle live,” Rice has said of their touring. “That’s where you’ve got to hear them, front row, with most of the parts played wrong. No one’s doing it better.”
