Fat White Family will move on from their London gigs at the Lexington tomorrow night and Thursday with a full tour of the UK and Ireland in May.

Promoting their new album Serfs Up!, which is due for release on April 19th, the band start the tour on May 1st in Southampton, and press on to cities including Bristol, Glasgow, Dublin, Sheffield and Nottingham before returning to London for a show at the Kentish Town Forum on May 15th.

Serfs Up! is the successor to 2016’s Songs For Our Mothers, an album Live4ever declared is ‘not for everyone, it’s only for those who are really listening‘:

“If anything, the ‘shock factor’ seems to be there to scare away the simpletons. The darker recesses of the imagination fuel this record, and toying Nazi imagery etc is nothing new in music.”

“And on ‘Songs for Our Mothers’ the song titles, production, pace, tone, rhythms and everything else besides are designed to challenge. Designed to push boundaries and taste. Surely that’s the point of music? Maybe not the only point, but an important one.”
