Bloc Party have announced more Silent Alarm shows, starting on June 28th in Bristol.
The band toured Europe last October playing their 2005 debut LP in full, and have plans for a subsequent live album in the works too. Those new shows will continue at the Brighton Centre on June 29th, and in July have an appearance at Castlefield Bowl and August at the Kelvingrove Bandstand in Glasgow.
When Live4ever last caught Bloc Party live before these Silent Alarm shows, we found the album was still responsible for ‘the real showstoppers‘:
“This Modern Love is not an obvious choice, but like an old friend you’ve not seen in a long time, everything settles back into place and you leave wondering why you’d left it so long to catch up.”
“And there’s Helicopter, which even after all these years is completely unstoppable. This is why people watch Bloc Party, for their ability to marry absolute ferocity with real moments of beauty.”
