Band Of Skulls have set their new album Love Is All You Love for release on April 12th.

Their fifth studio LP was recorded in London’s Miloco, Smoakstack in Nashville and the Southampton base of Russell Marsden and Emma Richardson with producer Richard X, who also contributed to the writing of four tracks. The duo say:

“All the energy we spend fighting amongst ourselves can be used to do something positive, something real. So don’t forget to go out, to fall in love and to feel alive.”

This is Band Of Skulls’ successor to the 2016 album By Default, on which Live4ever observed that ‘underneath the skeleton they’re still riddled in heavy rock bromides:

“The boogie-bility extends to ‘Bodies‘, a track that gurgles on toe-taps and bell chimes, and ‘Back Of Beyond‘s rush of snappy adrenaline is fit for one of those teen-has-preposterous-adventure 80s films starring now-obsolete actors. Pushing their rock credential boundaries to the absolute limit is ‘Tropical Disease‘, a track that runs as shifty as a sniggering Dick Dastardly.”
