Out Of My Mind is Live4ever’s Track Of The Week, the new single from Brooke Bentham.
Produced by Bill Ryder-Jones, the song – delivered with an evocative vocal timbre which bares more than a passing resemblance to Laura Marling – is about, ‘what happens when you don’t communicate fully in a relationship’, according to Bentham.
“The lyrics are pretty tongue in cheek and I wanted it to sound as though it comes from a place of anger. I’m still in the relationship I wrote it about, so it’s just really funny to me now.”
Out Of My Mind is Bentham’s first single of 2018 and follows the This Rapture and The Room Swayed EPs. After a European tour started in Birmingham earlier this week, there’s a gig coming up at Shipping Forecast in Liverpool tonight and more UK shows with Soccer Mommy due in Nottingham, Bristol, Cardiff and London.
