Paul McCartney has announced some US dates with his new solo album Egypt Station due this week.
With gigs already confirmed for Canada and the UK, McCartney will visit the US in October for appearances at Austin City Limits, and returns in the spring of 2019 for more live performances. “I liked the words ‘Egypt Station’,” he’s said of his new album.
“It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make…Egypt Station starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gives us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.”
