MGMT have returned with Little Dark Age, the title-track of their new album which is due early next year.
Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser laid this song down back in the spring after a year of writing and recording sessions in New York and Los Angeles. It’s got a video, directed by David MacNutt and Nathaniel Axel:

“We felt like we had reached a flow, it was the sort of chemistry, the kind of magic feeling we had when we started the band.”
MGMT gained Grammy nominations and rapturous applause for their 2007 debut album Oracular Spectacular, and achieved Top 5 chart placings in both the UK and US with its follow-up Congratulations. They were last active in 2013 with that year’s self-titled LP.
