As any regular listener will have found impossible to miss, BBC 6Music Live is returning for a sixth year next month, and it has now confirmed the line-up.

Morrissey and Robert Plant are the two leading names for Maida Vale between October 2nd-6th, with Loyle Carner – the man we’ve got our fingers crossed for the 2017 Mercury Prize – Alt-J and Mogwai also booked for performances. “6 Music celebrates and champions the alternative spirit of music and culture, uniting cutting-edge music of today and the iconic and ground-breaking sounds of the past 50 years,” 6Music chief Paul Rodgers has said.

“The station brings a great range of live musical performances to our audience and the quality of this year’s Live at Maida Vale line up speaks for itself.”

This will be Morrissey’s first London appearance since the 2015 Eventim Apollo gig which at the time he said would be his last. Instead, happily we have a brand new album to look forward to; Low In High-School due on November 17th via his own Etienne Records in conjunction with BMG.
