Liam Gallagher was on Twitter yesterday evening explaining his abrupt departure from a gig at Lollapalooza earlier in the day.
Gallagher was on stage in Chicago performing new solo track Greedy Soul after having aired Rock N Roll Star, Morning Glory and Wall Of Glass when he made a sudden exit without comment. Fans expressed their disappointment, and some anger, both on site and social media before Liam told his more than two million Twitter followers that he had suffered a ‘difficult gig’ on Wednesday which had ‘f***ed his voice’.
It’s the first misstep for the former Oasis singer since he launched a solo career earlier this year, with all eyes now on his next live outing which is coming up at Montreal’s Osheaga Music & Arts event tomorrow.
Gigs in Asia immediately follow, while appearances at the Reading/Leeds weekend back in the UK are due at the end of August.
