With American Dream out tomorrow, LCD Soundsystem have seen fit to release some brand new music which will not be included on the album.
The instrumental track pulse (v.1) will take up nearly a quarter-of-an-hour off your time, its presence giving a clear indication of the creative boom which James Murphy has enjoyed since restarting the band in 2015 – the album was confirmed as finished in a Facebook post back in May. “This is just a note to say that we’re done with the record,” Murphy said.
“I’ve been wrangling the fastest route between final mix and record release for the past few weeks so that there isn’t such a lag, and I think it’ll be soon.”
European tour dates open in Copenhagen on September 8th and are in the UK for Manchester, Glasgow and London shows later that month.
