Actress Mischa Barton stars in Deap Vally‘s video for Turn It Off, a track taken from last year’s Femejism.
“Turn It Off is a very special song to me,” Lindsey Troy says of it. “Nick Zinner from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs produced our record, and this song was heavily influenced by his presence. For the video we didn’t want to do a performance video.”
“We wanted something very stylised that featured someone other than Julie and me. Mischa was over at my place and I asked her if she’d be interested in starring in it, and she loved the idea.”
Deap Vally are back in the UK next week for a gig at London’s Fluffer Pit Party, and will also play shows in Brighton and Manchester, as well as the Reading/Leeds festival.
