Biffy Clyro‘s Ellipsis touring will extend into September.
After completing North American tours in March, April and May this year, the band will return for a short time next month, playing shows on the east coast in New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, Illinois and Ohio.
Ellipsis, released in 2016, was the band’s second UK number one album in a row, sparked after frontman Simon Neil left his native Scotland for Los Angeles. “It happened when I least expected it,” he told NME of his songwriting spark.
“I was sat at the piano and wrote three songs, sending them to the boys, going, ‘I’m really excited by these’, and they got back saying, ‘they’re unbelievable’. I’ll always remember that, because that day was the turning point in getting my confidence back.”
