The Beatles’ Sgt. Peppers back at number one in UK

Beatles 1 1

The Beatles‘ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is back on top of the UK Album Chart on its 50th birthday.

Already the biggest selling studio album in UK chart history, the anniversary edition of the Fab Four’s classic LP has reaffirmed the band’s enduring popularity by going straight in at number one, pushing Ed Sheeran down one place.

Elsewhere, the fevered period of speculation and coverage surrounding one of The Beatles’ loyalist disciples – Oasis – has pushed the Gallagher brothers’ singles collection Time Flies back into the Top 20.
