Cold War Kids, Mystery Jets join The Killers’ British Summer Time bill

Some cracking bands have been added to The KillersBritish Summer Time headline gig on July 8th.

Tears For Fears, Elbow and White Lies have long been confirmed for the bill that day at Hyde Park in London, but it’s just got a bit tastier today thanks to the welcome additions of Cold War Kids, British Sea Power, Mew, Mystery Jets and The Strypes.

The Killers should soon be ready to introduce their next album, which they’ve been recording with a vague eye on experimentation according to drummer Ronnie Vannucci. “It’s sounding good,” he told NME. “We have a problem with taking two steps forward and one step back, so that makes it take longer. We keep asking ourselves, ‘What does a four-piece band do? How do you keep it fresh?’. It’s a constant exercise in experimentation.”

“We’re trying to arrive at something we’re all just a little bit uncomfortable with. When everyone is slightly uncomfortable, then we know we’re there.”
