Paul Weller is planning well ahead and has confirmed a 2018 UK arena tour whilst setting his next solo album A Kind Revolution for release on May 12th.

Weller already has plenty of live outings lined up and was in London last week for a Teenage Cancer Trust gig before heading off around the UK into the middle of next month.

A significant part of the Glastonbury 2017 line-up has been revealed.

Some of the leading names now confirmed to be at Worthy Farm in June are The xx, Biffy Clyro, The National, Royal Blood, Stormzy, Katy Perry, Chic, Alt-J and Haim, all joining the Pyramid Stage headliners Foo Fighters, Radiohead and Ed Sheeran.

The xx, Queens Of The Stone Age, Royal Blood and Father John Misty are part of an impressive Splendour In The Grass line-up.

Also in Australia this July are LCD Soundsystem, HAIM, Sigur Rós and Two Door Cinema Club to name a few more, all performing at North Byron Parklands between July 21st-23rd.

Ryan Adams has cancelled this month’s trip to the UK, including shows at the Warrington Parr Hall and Leamington Spa Assembly which were only announced last week, due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.

Slowdive have confirmed the details of their comeback album.

It’ll be self-titled and released on May 5th after the band reunited in 2014 and, as promised, shared new material in the form of Star Roving earlier this year. “When the band decided to get back together in 2014 we really wanted to make new music,” they band said on Facebook at the time.

Pete Doherty has put the exploits of his new backing band The Puta Madres down on film.

The live video for Kolly Kibber was recorded by Roger Sargent in Berlin at Huxley’s Neue Welt on February 25th as Doherty’s touring in the wake of his latest solo album Hamburg Demonstrations continued.

Paul McCartney is at work on his next solo album.

McCartney gave some details to BBC 6Music, revealing he is working with producer Greg Kurstin. “I’m making a new album which is great fun,” he said.

In Cold Blood has followed the example set by the already dreamy 3WW and is doing a good job of previewing Alt-J‘s next album Relaxer.

The LP is on the shelves from June 9th and is to be toured around the US during the summer once a gig at the O2 Arena in London on June 16th is completed to help celebrate the venue’s 10th anniversary.

As a regular performer and occasional organiser of the Teenage Cancer Trust concert series, Noel Gallagher‘s name had seemed like a glaring omission from this year’s line-up, so it was no real surprise when he was, at the eleventh hour, announced as the support for The Who‘s gig at Royal Albert Hall.

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend were celebrating the 100th gig of TCT by performing their classic rock opera Tommy in its entirely, after Gallagher had been on acoustic guitar for a short set of (mainly) Oasis anthems.
