Felix White has promised the summer farewell shows will be ‘the best Maccabees gigs ever’.
Speaking to NME, White said:
“Those gigs are going to be the best Maccabees gigs ever. It’s going to be a pretty special thing because it’s quite rare that everyone in the place knows how important that little moment is. I think they’re going to be valuable little things. I don’t think we need to do too much more than just be The Maccabees.”
Mystery Jets and Idles will be supporting the goodbyes which start with two shows at the Manchester Apollo. A further three nights at Alexandra Palace in London, between June 29th-July 1st, bring the band’s career to a close after well over a decade.
