Cold War Kids have announced their return with the new single Love Is Mystical.

It’s taken from the band’s sixth studio album L.A. Divine, which is out on April 7th and described as ‘an ode to their hometown of Los Angeles’. Of the single, Nathan Willett says:

“It’s about supernatural love – looking for inspiration and meaning, surrendering to feeling, love calling out your name and that journey we must go on to find it.”

Its video was as should be expected then shot in downtown LA, at St. Vincent Court to be exact, with director Phillip Lopez in attendance.

This follows 2014’s Hold My Home, which Live4ever said made clear that ‘the Kids have matured in both sound and in songwriting‘: “Throughout their career, the band have always been hard to categorize and they’ve often resisted any label that may get thrown at them, but there is a quiet and mature confidence to ‘Hold My Home’ which can only be achieved through years of experience.”
