Father John Misty previews Pure Comedy with Two Wildly Different Perspectives

Father John Misty has shared more from his upcoming Pure Comedy album in anticipation of release on April 7th.

Two Wildly Different Perspectives comes with a broadside at what are described as ‘the unbelievably selfish immigration policy of places like Saudi Arabia and the USA’. Like the rest of the LP, it was written last year and later recorded live to tape at United Studios in Los Angeles, co-produced by Josh Tillman with Jonathan Wilson.

It follows the big success of 2015’s I Love You, Honeybear, which Live4ever described as ‘a metamorphosing listen‘:

“Yet its conceptual approach renders it important art. Through presenting negative subject matter in a shell of over-the-top schmaltz, Misty manages to expose mislead morality to those who fall for it – which is all of us of course.”
