The Rolling Stones‘ new album Blue & Lonesome is now up and streaming on Spotify after its release today.

The Stones have also posted a video for Ride ‘Em On Down, featuring Kristen Stewart, as their first studio record in a decade is unleashed on the public. It’s a love letter to the blues, comprising various covers recorded with producer Don Was over just three days at London’s British Grove Studios earlier this year where Eric Clapton joined them for guest appearances on Little Johnny Taylor‘s Everybody Knows About My Good Thing and Otis Rush‘s I Can’t Quit You Baby.

Ronnie Wood had previously spoken of how the blues came to dominate their sessions. “They really sound authentic,” he said. “We went in to cut some new songs, which we did. But we got on a blues streak.”

“We cut 11 blues in two days. When we heard them back after not hearing them for a couple of months, we were, ‘Who’s that?. ‘It’s you’. It sounded so authentic.”
