Robin Pecknold is by no means averse to sharing the very latest Fleet Foxes news on social media, but his latest update might just have jumped the gun a little too much.
In a since-deleted post on Instagram, Pecknold shared an image of his band’s back catalogue on iTunes, with the notable addition of what appeared to be a third studio album entitled Ylajili, complete with artwork.
Whether this is confirmation or not, Fleet Foxes are certainly going to return next year after a long period away, a new record described as ‘almost done’ on Facebook last month after guitarist Christian Wargo had discussed their return during an interview with Distinct earlier this year. “It’s not like, announced or anything, and none of us really knew it was coming, but it’s happening,” he explained.
