There’ll be some ‘exciting surprises’ to mark ten years of Glastonbury‘s Park Stage in 2017.
Writing on Instagram, co-organiser Emily Eavis revealed:
“Next year will be ten years since we created The Park area so we are planning some exciting surprises to mark the anniversary.”
The Eavis family love this time of year; Glastonbury all sold out, many a rumour dismissed and just the occasional tantalising hint given to what will actually be going at Worthy Farm when the festival next comes around.
We do know one thing for sure though: Radiohead are topping the Pyramid Stage on the Friday night next year, their first appearance up there since 2003. The band were confirmed not long after guitarist Ed O’Brien told the BBC’s Matt Everitt he was itching for a return. “I go to Glastonbury every year, it’s my carnival,” he said.
“To be asked to play at Glastonbury again would be magic. I also think Glastonbury is like our spiritual home. It is the mother of all festivals. There’s nothing like that one, it would be great to play there.”
