BBC 6Music Live is back for a fifth year on October 3rd.

Booked for Maida Vale are Pixies, The Pretenders, Super Furry Animals and Wild Beasts, details on how to get hold of tickets will be revealed by Lauren Laverne on the digital radio station this Friday.

A ‘bonus day’ on October 10th won’t be open to the public but will have performances from Slow Club, Kate Tempest, John Cooper Clarke, Jamie T and Parquet Courts which will be available on the BBC 6Music website.

Also performing on October 9th is Michael Kiwanuka after his sublime ‘Love & Hate’ album went to number one in the UK and received a glowing report from Live4ever:

“There are periods in our lives during which we’re defined as people by how we deal with ghosts.”

“Some of these apparitions are of strangers, some of those we knew and loved. The subjects may well not be dead, but most are within our heads, spectres of us, the psychological residue of fear, joy or regret.”
