Caleb Followill‘s gone all dewy-eyed and acoustic guitary on Kings Of Leon‘s ‘WALLS‘ album title-track – gaze longingly at him below.

‘WALLS’ will be the third post-‘Only By The Night‘ record when it impacts on October 14th, the band talking about ‘challenging’ themselves and getting out of a ‘comfort zone’ which has engulfed them since that 2008 LP and the huge hit singles ‘Sex On Fire‘ and ‘Use Somebody‘ dragged the mainstream rock big league into view.

“We were definitely going for it and trying really hard, but we got into a comfort zone,” Caleb told NME. “We’ve tried to peel that away on this album, by not using the same producer and doing it in our studio.”

“We were really challenging ourselves, doing things where we were scratching our heads going ‘Holy shit, is this right? Is this wrong?’”

2010’s ‘Come Around Sundown‘ and ‘Mechanical Bull‘ of 2013 continued that worldwide commercial success, but a number one in their homeland continues to elude them, something they’ll be hoping to put right next month.
