The Oasis documentary from the team behind Senna and Amy has had a DVD/Blu-ray release date of October 31st confirmed.

It’ll come after Supersonic‘s general release on October 14th as director Mat Whitecross looks to tell the story of Oasis’ extraordinary rise from gaining their first record deal at Creation to global success and the era-defining shows at Knebworth in just three years.

In an update given to Q Magazine last month, it was reported rare scenes from a 1994 gig at Los Angeles’ Whisky A-Go-Go venue, recording sessions for ‘Champagne Supernova‘, rehearsals for their debut TV performance on The Word and from Knebworth will be among the unseen footage used in the film, while there are to be no ‘talking head style’ interviews, the main protagonists instead acting as narrators as in keeping with some of the team’s previously acclaimed work.
