Queen, The Beatles among UK’s best selling greatest hits collections

The Official Charts Company has continued to mark the 60th anniversary of the UK Album Chart by revealing the ten best selling ‘greatest hits’ collections.

Number one is no surprise, given that Queen‘s first ‘Greatest Hits‘ compilation has long been the UK’s best selling album of any kind with over six million units sold.




ABBA‘s ‘Gold‘ collection, another huge selling album in its own right, is second, while The Beatles‘ 2000 collection of number one singles, entitled ‘1‘, is at #6 having shifted 3.23 million copies.
