Yak wreak havoc in London on the Douglas Hart of The Jesus and Mary Chain-directed video for ‘Use Somebody‘.

“A few things were happening at the time we wrote it – a Malaysian airline went down and we were listening to Buddy Holly; we were also listening to The Stooges, and Steve Mackay the saxophone player had just died so we revisited a lot of the songs he played on,” frontman Oli Burslem says of the track.

“We realised how much we hadn’t gone off those records and how much of an influence they had been on us, so this is maybe a nod to those.”

Our Presents feature with Yak direct from the 2016 South By Southwest Festival went live last week. “We’re just here for the ride,” they told us. “Just enjoying it, we’re fortunate being part of it and also being on the sidelines for so long looking in, to have a chance to get in amongst it, play gigs, have the money to travel here, it’s amazing.”
