James Blake‘s new album ‘The Colour In Anything‘ is out now, just a matter of hours after he was on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show announcing the whole thing.

“It’s been a long time,” he told the DJ (via NME). “The first song I’m going to play, I guess, is the first song that was written so I’ve been sitting on it for the longest.”

“It was going to be the title track because there was almost a running joke that there’d been so much radio silence from me in my absence.”

Radio Silence‘ (below) and ‘I Need a Forest Fire‘, featuring Justin Vernon, were played on the show as Blake immediately offered up his successor to the 2013 Mercury winning album ‘Overgrown‘.

That record beat off competition from Arctic Monkeys, Jake Bugg, David Bowie and others, and was his second Mercury nomination after 2011 recognition for the self-titled debut.
