It was ten years of ‘A Certain Trigger‘ in 2015, now the highlight of this year for Maximo Park looks like being an outdoor, hometown show at Newcastle Times Square on July 31st.
“It’s been a dream of ours to headline a big outdoor gig in the heart of Newcastle city centre and now, after celebrating our 10th anniversary last year, we get to fulfil that ambition at the height of summer, on home turf,” frontman Paul Smith says.
Lush, Public Service Broadcasting, Teleman, Fear Of Men and Wam Digits have been invited along as support acts, tickets go on sale this coming Friday, April 15th.
“I hope there will be a celebratory atmosphere in Times Square because there are some excellent bands on the bill and we intend to put on a great show,” Smith continues.
Maximo Park released their fifth studio album ‘Too Much Information‘ in 2014, and were last heard working on a brand new record last year.
