The Stone Roses will play New York’s Madison Square Garden on June 30th as part of their 2016 live schedule.
The band made a triumphant return in 2012 with plans to record an album, and although new material is still to see the light of day they did restart the reunion last year with the announcement of gigs at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium – which have now grown into four nights between June 15th-19th – and a headline spot at T In The Park (assuming the festival gets the green light to go ahead after its troubled move to Strathallan Castle).
Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni also play Dublin’s Marlay Park this coming July, while this New York date is to be their first in the US since Coachella 2013.
