Memorial service for Motorhead frontman Lemmy to be streamed live on YouTube

Fans from around the world will be able to share in the memorial service for Motorhead frontman Lemmy when it is streamed live on YouTube direct from the West Hollywood Sunset Strip between 5pm-9pm local time this Saturday (January 9th).

“Wherever you are, PLEASE get together and watch the service with fellow Motorheadbangers and friends,” the band have said in a statement.




“Go to your favourite bar, or your favourite club, make sure they have access to an internet connection and toast along with us. Or simply invite your pals around and celebrate Lemm’s life at home.”

“Whatever your venue, and however you can, let’s be sure to gather globally on Saturday, January 9 and celebrate the life of our dear friend and irreplaceable icon.”

Following several years battling ill health, Lemmy died on December 28th 2015 just a very short time after being diagnosed with cancer.
