Black Sabbath are releasing some new music afterall – but you’ll only be able to get your hands on the eight-track mini album at one of the band’s farewell gigs this year.
Last October, Ozzy Osbourne was telling Nola.com that they had ‘opted out’ of recording a final studio album, but it turns out there are some new songs left over from past sessions which can be released instead, as Geezer Butler tells Billboard:
“We thought we’d put out an album of 13 songs, but when we were in the studio we wrote another three songs, which brought it up to 16 and then we left it to Rick Rubin to pick which songs would go on the album, and to give it some light and shade he picked the eight songs that were on the 13 album.”
