A long discussed third studio album from The Big Pink is seemingly finally about to make itself known after the EP ‘Empire Underground‘ was yesterday (November 11th) confirmed for release next year.

The news has come complete with a new song entitled ‘Hightimes‘ and sketchy details of the third album which is set to feature contributions from Andrew Wyatt, Beth Ditto and Dave McCracken.

The original Big Pink duo split in two in 2013 after the release of ‘Future This‘. It was Milo Cordell who left to focus on record label work, leaving Robbie Furze to press on with drummer Vicky Smith.

“Milo has moved to NYC to run his label, Merok and is no longer an active member in the big pink,” he explained on Facebook at the time.

“I am in the studio at the moment and well into the third Big Pink record. I have been working with a variety of different people, including Supreme Cuts, The Drum, Van Rivers and Andrew Wyatt.”
