Norwegian singer Aurora has posted an official video for her cover of the Oasis b-side ‘Half The World Away‘, which is currently soundtracking John Lewis’ 2015 Christmas advert.
Aurora’s not had much to say about the song, but she is very happy to be involved with John Lewis and their latest festive campaign.
“It’s really wonderful to be a part of this year’s John Lewis commercial,” she’s said. “I absolutely adore Christmas! I’ve been preparing my Christmas spirit since March, so it’s been lovely working on a Christmas advertisement during the last weeks. And also I think it is brilliant, ‘Show someone they’re loved at Christmas’, it’s a beautiful message and an important reminder. And also I love the moon. Very magical.”
‘Half The World Away’ was first released by Oasis at Christmas time too, when the band’s standalone single ‘Whatever‘ peaked at #3 in the December of 1994.
