FFS – the amalgamation of Franz Ferdinand and Sparks – are currently on the US west coast at the back end of a tour which will wrap up in Oakland, Los Angeles tomorrow (October 15th).

Before then, the supergroup visited James Corden’s Late Late Show for a performance of ‘Police Encounters‘ which can be seen below.

The origins of FFS goes right back to the start of Franz Ferdinand’s career in 2004, but only came to fruition earlier this year for the release of a self-titled album.

“We approached it the way bands do with their first,” Alex Kapranos said of the record. “We had the songs first, rehearsed them and then recorded it all together, in a room. So no hanging around or fannying about. The real motivation was to make something new, not ‘Franz featuring Russell Mael’, or ‘Sparks with Franz Ferdinand backing them’.”
