Following the release of his second solo album ‘Lazaretto‘ last year and a more recent, indefinite ‘retirement’ from live performances, Jack White has confirmed a new album with The Dead Weather.
‘Dodge & Burn‘ is due to be released in September and will be the band’s first studio LP since 2010’s ‘Sea Of Cowards‘. It follows a string of single releases during the past few months. According to a press release White, along with singer Alison Mosshart, guitarist Dean Fertita and bassist Jack Lawrence, ‘spent their rare and sporadic free moments over the past year recording together in Nashville’.
“With the members of the band heavily involved in other projects, The Dead Weather will not be touring in support of the new album,” the statement concludes.
It’s going to be put out through White’s Third Man Records, with a limited edition version planned for the label’s Vault series.
