Having been out on the road for over a year celebrating the 30th anniversary of their gritty eighties independent classic ‘Psychocandy‘, The Jesus and Mary Chain have a new live album ready to go on July 31st.

Recorded at the Glasgow Barrowlands in November 2014, the album is to be made available in deluxe LP and CD forms. A track has now been uploaded to Soundcloud – check out ‘Reverencehere.

“’Psychocandy’ was meant to be a kick in the teeth to all of those who stood in our way at the time, which was practically the whole music industry,” Jim Reid says. “In 1985 there were a great many people who predicted no more than a six-month life span for The Mary Chain.”
