Jack White ready to take long break from live performances

Jack White won’t be seen on stage for ‘a long period of time’ after his appearance at Coachella’s second leg this coming weekend and a handful of acoustic gigs.

White had more trans-Atlantic success with his second solo album ‘Lazaretto‘ last year, and has also been working on new material with Dead Weather as well as reportedly restarting The Raconteurs. He stays busy too with the brilliant Third Man Records venture after the White Stripes disbanded back in 2011.

But it seems he’s now ready to take a prolonged break from live performances, as a press release explains: “After many years of performing in a multitude of configurations, Jack White is announcing that he will be taking a break from performing live for a long period of time,” it reads.

After Coachella, White will embark on an acoustic tour which is to visit the five US states he’s yet to play in, specific locations won’t be confirmed until 8am on the day of each show.
