Blur have posted another new song to YouTube and will be today celebrating Record Store Day by allowing fans in Los Angeles the chance to sample ‘The Magic Whip‘ in full ahead of its release in a couple of Mondays’ time.

Have a listen to ‘My Terracotta Heart‘ below.

In keeping with the theme of the album’s art, an ice cream van will be travelling to various Los Angeles record shops today (April 18th), handing out ice cream to anyone who has purchased a record.

‘The Magic Whip’ is Blur’s first record featuring all of Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree since 1999. It’s the result of recording sessions which began on tour in Hong Kong and finished at producer Stephen Street’s London studios.

The band headline British Summer Time at London’s Hyde Park in July, their first appearance at the venue since a gig there celebrating the end of the 2012 Olympic Games.
