Modest Mouse could have another new album out before too long as ‘Strangers To Ourselves’ prepares for release next week.
Despite a wait of eight years for new material after 2007’s ‘We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank‘, the band’s leader Isaac Brook has said he is already making good progress on a second record.
“I’m pretty far along with the next one as it is,” he told HMV. “I went in to making this one with two records in mind. It’ll be released as quickly as it’s legally allowed to be. It’s a partner to this one.”
Modest Mouse signalled their return towards the end of 2014 when they joined Instagram and posted a picture of the 7″ single version of ‘Lampshades On Fire’. They are currently on tour in North America and will visit the UK for gigs in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle this summer.
