The British Music Embassy will again be flying the flag for new bands visiting South By Southwest in Austin, Texas next week.

Centered at Austin’s Latitude 30 venue, BME regularly hosts a series of parties and showcases during the course of the festival, and this year is set to welcome the likes of Catfish & The Bottlemen, East India Youth, Spring King and The Twilight Sad through its doors, while there’s also opportunities for bands arriving from elsewhere in the world to display their own talents.

Such events include the ‘Sounds From Norway‘ night on March 20th where bands such as Cold Mailman, Death by Unga Bunga and Marit Larsen will grace the stage. You can find out much more on the event by visiting their facebook page

Live4ever has been a regular visitor to the event since 2010, hosting the likes of Twin Atlantic, Band Of Skulls and The Jim Jones Revue in the process. Last year we sat down with Slaves who ran us through the blueprint for a band which has grown into one of the UK’s most exciting prospects.

“Music doesn’t have to have any meaning to incite feeling in someone,” Laurie Vincent said. “The way someone plays guitar, like Jimi Hendrix, he can make someone feel amazing. Just the sound of your music can incite passion in people, so you don’t have say anything directly at politicians or cause a fuss.”

The full British Music Embassy line-up can be found at this link and don’t forget to follow our Spotify Playlist to keep up with all the best bands we’ll be checking out during SXSW next week!
