Kasabian and Royal Blood went home with two awards apiece from last night’s (February 18th) NME Awards.

The two bands had been nominated in all the relevant major categories, and it was Kasabian who proved victorious in the Best British Band and Best Album sections, though Royal Blood’s blow was soften with the Best Live Band and Best New Band prizes.

Jamie T trumped the both of them in the end, and claimed three awards at the Brixton Academy for Best Track, Best Video and Music Moment Of The Year. Curiously, despite this, he missed out on Best Solo Artist to Jake Bugg.
