The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney ‘dislocates shoulder’ whilst swimming

It’s not been a good start to 2015 for The Black KeysPatrick Carney, who’s laid up with a dislocated shoulder after a swimming accident.

TMZ claims, rather dramatically, that the drummer was ‘swept up by a giant, powerful wave, where he was shunned against the bottom of the ocean floor’ on January 3rd. He later took to Instagram to confirm the news himself, writing: “Tune into my new lifetime movie. ‘Dislocated shoulder’ airing right now.”

There should be enough time though for Carney to recover and fill the drumstool in his very own enigmatic style for the The Black Keys’ tour of the UK which starts on February 27th at the Manchester Phones 4u Arena.

The duo also have dates at the Birmingham LG Arena a day later and, moving into March, at the Glasgow SSE Hydro (1st), London’s O2 (3rd) and finally Leeds First Direct Arena (5th).
