Carl Barat‘s new band The Jackals, formed last year via Facebook after his solo career was brought to an abrupt end, have released another track due to feature on their debut album ‘Let It Reign‘. Have a listen to ‘A Storm Is Coming‘ below.
The YouTube stream follows lead single ‘Glory Days‘ and makes itself known before the album is released on February 23rd. That first single was inspired by British soldiers shot for desertion during World War I, as a statement explained:
“Some of these men were blameless due to severe psychological trauma, not cowardice, that rendered them physically unable to cope with the horrific scenes they had witnessed,” it read.
Carl Barat was back with The Libertines very soon after The Jackals was conceived, and should also a release a new album with his most celebrated venture at some point this year. He’s been writing with Pete Doherty in Thailand and is now reported to be continuing work at a ‘secret location’ after Doherty completed a drug rehabilitation course.
