Death From Above 1979 will be touring the UK and Ireland in February 2015 after returning from a near ten-year hiatus with the new album ‘The Physical World‘.

The duo start with Irish dates at the Dublin Academy and Belfast Limelight on February 20th and 21st, and then continue on with gigs in Glasgow, Manchester and London.

Upon their return in June, Sebastian Grainger suggested he and Jesse Keeler had bowed to long-standing public pressure by revisiting the band which they walked away from not all that long after the release of 2004’s ‘You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine‘.

“No matter what Jesse and I do, on whatever scale of success it’s sat on, there’s always some kind of reference to Death From Above,” he said during an interview with NME.

“It’s only frustrating because it’s so lazy. So we’re putting out a Death From Above record and if the press is like, ‘It’s not what we expected,’ or however they react to it, it’s like, ‘Well, you’ve been fucking asking for it’.”
