Kate Tempest is bookies’ favourite ahead of 2014 Mercury Prize ceremony

Kate Tempest‘s ‘Everybody Down‘ will be the bookies’ favourite going into tomorrow’s (October 29th) 2014 Mercury Prize ceremony in London.

When the shortlist was announced in September, Damon Albarn and Royal Blood were installed as the early front-runners, but support has flooded in since for Tempest, singled out by Live4ever as one of the favourites last month, and she now has odds of 5/2 with William Hill.




FKA Twigs has also been backed significantly during the past few weeks and now has of odds of 11/4, while Royal Blood remain prominent in the bookies’ thoughts and are currently considered a 9/2 shot.
