Thom Yorke confirms Radiohead are in the studio working on new material

radiohead2He’s still only prepared to give the odd nod here and a quick wink there, but Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has now confirmed the band are in the studio working on new material.

After some cryptic posts on Twitter during recent days, Yorke was back online on the 23rd to state that he was going through, ’15 years of discarded words and pictures while overdubs happen in Radiohead’s studio’, adding that is was the band’s second day at work.

Drummer Philip Selway is currently persuing a new solo album, but he did tell NME that Radiohead feel ready to ‘start making music’ together again, while guitarist Jonny Greenwood confirmed to Nashville Cream back in April that they were hoping to, ‘Meet up at the end of the summer’ to ‘make a plan’. “But, you know, we’re a slow-moving animal, always have been,” he continued. “I guess we’ll decide then what we do next.”
