Kate Bush has become the first female artist to have eight albums in the Top 40 on the UK charts at the same time.

The huge buzz surrounding her first series of live British dates since the late seventies, all of which are being held at the Eventim Apollo in London through until October, has seen eleven of her LPs in total re-enter the charts, led by the greatest hits collection ‘The Whole Story‘ which is at six. Next up is the classic studio record ‘Hounds Of Love‘ at #9, with most recent effort ‘50 Words For Snow‘ (#20) next, and ‘The Sensual World‘ (#26)’, ‘The Dreaming‘ (#37)’, ‘Never Forever‘ (#38) and ‘Lionheart‘ (#40) following inside the Top 40.

In addition, ‘Aerial‘, ‘Director’s Cut‘ and ‘The Red Shoes‘ have places between 40-50 on the chart.

Kate Bush continues her London residency tomorrow night (September 2nd), and is due to perform on-and-off right up to the first day of October, by which time she will have played to around 80,000 people in total.
