Morrissey’s ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business’ disappears from US markets after label row

morrisseyWriting on fansite True To You earlier this week, Morrissey declared that his abrupt departure from Harvest Records would lead to, ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business instantly disappearing from iTunes and record stores and every download-upload-offload outlet on the planet’. And now it seems, in the US at least, that prediction has come true.

Although for now the album is available as normal in the UK, it appears the usual US markets such as iTunes, Amazon and Spotify are no longer hosting the record.

Morrissey signed to Harvest Records, a subsidy of Capitol, at the start of this year in readiness for the release of his tenth solo album, but he bluntly announced he had left the label with a simple message on August 9th that read, ‘Morrissey is once again in search of a record label’, and has since been busy detailing a row which escalated due to a perceived lack of lack of promotion from Harvest.

Despite this, ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business‘ did reach #2 on the UK Album Chart in July, and broke the Top 20 in the US.
