Damon Albarn has unleashed a video for his solo track ‘Lonely Press Play‘ which is described as being made up, ‘Of scenes edited from his personal video notebook showing glimpses, moving snapshots and observations collected by him on recent travels, filmed on a tablet with visits Tokyo, London, Dallas, Utah, Colchester, North Korea, Iceland and Devon’.

The promo is playing its part in the promotion for Albarn’s forthcoming debut solo album ‘Everyday Robots‘, which is due at the end of next month.

It has been worked with some considerable assistance from XL boss Richard Russell. “He’s done spectacularly well as a music mogul, but I think he wants to focus his energy on producing records,” Albarn has previously said of Russell during a chat with Rolling Stone.

“Making a solo record can be such a disaster, so I thought if we’re going to make a record with my name on it, I should get someone to really produce it – take that responsibility away from myself.”
