James have confirmed their first full length studio album since 2008’s ‘Hey Ma‘ will be released in June.
‘La Petite Mort’ has been produced by the Killers, Muse and White Lies cohort Max Dingel and is set to hit the shelves on June 2nd. Tracks include ‘Moving On’,‘Curse Curse’ and ‘Frozen Britain’ which are due to be premiered very soon.
James’ frontman Tim Booth revealed they had been recording a new album in Scotland when speaking to the Daily Record last summer.
“We did most of the album in Gairloch and it will be ready early next year,” he explained. “We’ve not finished recording it yet. It is one of the strongest things we’ve made. There is a slight dance aspect to it we’ve never had before. It’s a very strong set of songs on the album that we have worked at.”
James also saw action in 2010 with the twin mini-albums ‘The Night Before‘ and ‘The Morning After‘.
